Commercial electricity for domestic use increased by 18.07%, especially in the Southern region (including 21 southern provinces increased by 19.30% and Ho Chi Minh City increased by 15.18%).

According to EVNHCMC’s Deputy General Director Bui Trung Kien, with many specific solutions widely deployed in businesses and people, Ho Chi Minh City now has more than 1,700 businesses using more than 1 million kWh/year of electricity that have signed a commitment to participate in the load shifting program, of which 1,357 manufacturing businesses have registered to participate in the DR program. Preliminary results, some businesses participating in the electricity DR program have reduced total power consumption by 25-30% and saved nearly 15% on electricity bills.
Deputy General Director of EVN Vo Quang Lam emphasized that adjusting electricity load and adjusting power consumption capacity contributes to reducing capacity during peak hours, reducing the overload of the power grid, and improving the economic efficiency of the electrical system.
