Some information about school cluster in Nam Pam commune:
- Investor: The People’s Committee of Son La province
- Total investment: VND 39 billion
- Main sponsor unit: Vietnam Electricity (VND 20 billion)
- Total construction area: Nearly 3,700m2
- Main items include:
+ 1 two-floor building of school headquarters
+ 1 three-floor building block with 14 classrooms
+ 1 two-floor building block with 6 classrooms
+ 1 two-floor dormitory for day-boarding pupils and rooms for teachers
+ 1 house for dining room of day-boarding pupil and kitchen
- Other auxiliary items, including: substation, garage, guard house, toilet, embankment system, yard, gate, fence, flower and plant pots, power and water system, etc.

On the beginning of August, 2017, Muong La district was heavily affected by a historical flash flood, in which all Nam Pam Primary School’s infrastructure was totally destroyed. Hence, the investment to construct a new school for ethnic minority pupils is an urgent need.
Contributing to support the locality to recover consequences left by natural disaster, EVN donated VND 20 billion to invest in constructing a cluster of new kindergarten, primary and secondary schools in Nam Pam commune. This is also the gratitude of all EVN’s staffs and employees for the regular support of Son La authorities and compatriots during the process of investment, construction and operation of power works in the province, particularly largest and most important hydropower projects of the country such as Son La, Huoi Quang Hydropower Plants and many other power grid projects.
“Hopefully, after the completion, the new school will help teachers and pupils to reduce difficulties, get better teaching and learning conditions” – EVN’s General Director Tran Dinh Nhan said.
The Work has a very significant meaning, satisfies the expectations of local people, teachers and pupils; ensures the safety for teaching and learning in all conditions; contributes to improve the quality of education in the commune - Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province Cam Ngoc Minh said.
Mr. Cam Ngoc Minh requested the People's Committee of Muong La District, construction, supervision, consulting units to comply with the regulations to implement the work on schedule and ensure the quality of construction, so that it can be put it into operation on the occasion of starting the new school year (September 2019).
