The meeting is held with the attendance of General To Lam – Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security; Mr. Tran Thanh Man – Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The program of supporting, constructing and repairing houses for poor families in Muong Nhe has deployed since the third quarter of 2019, with the motto “The whole country joins hands for the poor – No one is left behind”.
With the total capital of VND 55 billion, as of 5 May 2020, there are 1.149 households supported to build and repair houses in Muong Nhe district; in which 979 households are supported to build new houses and 170 ones are supported to renovate and repair their houses.

He also said that with the responsibility of a State-owned corporation, in parallel with the political duties, EVN always implements social security programs such as the Government’s 30a program, supporting the poor programs and campaigns launched by the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front.
To Dien Bien province, over the past time, EVN has ensured the power supply for socio-economic development in its locality with the commercial electricity growth rate of 9%/year. EVN has currently supplied power to 100% of communes and 89% of households, of which 87% rural households have accessed to electricity.
Up to now, the Northern Power Corporation (a unit directly under EVN) is coordinating with the People’s Committee of Dien Bien province and Nam Po district to support VND 8.4 billion to build Ethnic Minorities Boarding Secondary and High School in Vang Dan commune with the total investment of VND 12 billion.
Implementing the Campaign to build houses for poor families in Nam Po District organized by the Ministry of Public Security and the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front, EVN will support to build more than 600 houses in the next time, with a commitment to perform the construction in prompt and effective way.
