EVN will implement the “Customer Gratitute Month” in November and December 2020

With the responsibility and spirit of showing gratitude to its customers, Vietnam Electricity (EVN) implemented "CUSTOMER GRATITUTE MONTH" in November and December 2020, an annual event regularly organized by EVN and its units at the end of the year.

In the face of serious human losses and property damages in central provinces caused by the historic storms and floods in 2020, EVN has realized that supporting people and its customers in areas affected by natural disasters, storms and floods, contributing to sharing hardship and early stabilization of daily life is the most practical act of gratitude. Therefore, the Customer Gratitude Month program in 2020 is implemented by EVN and its units with the special theme "Joining hands with the people in the Central region affected by natural disasters, storms and floods in 2020".

For activities and events held in "Customer Gratitude Month" - November and December 2020, EVN sets the goal of creating cohesion, practicality, directly towards supporting and helping people who are its customers in the Central region to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize production, business and life activities. The beneficiaries of the program "Customer gratitude month" in 2020 are energy users, residents, businesses, schools, and medical facilities in the Central region affected by the historic storms and floods in 2020 in the provinces/cities: Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Kon Tum and Gia Lai.

Some main activities of "Customer gratitude month" in 2020:

* Free of charge "industrial sanitation of transformer substations" for businesses in flood-hit provinces in the Central Vietnam.

* Support in repairing electrical systems, installation of lighting devices for a number of medical facilities, schools. Support in repairing household electrical system, replacing conductors after meters, replacing lights, financial aid to repair damaged household equipment for some families under preferential treatment policy, poor and near poor households, families with meritorious services to the revolution, lonely and disadvantaged families in flooded provinces and areas as planned by Power Corporations.

* Implementing the social security program "Giving trust, sending love": To give gifts, necessities, necessary supplies, means of production to a number of poor households, households under preferential treatment policy, households severely affected by the historic floods and storms in the Central region in 2020. Awarding scholarships, donating books, clothes, equipment and some essential materials to a number of schools, medical facilities in localities.

In addition to focusing on Customer Gratitude Month 2020 with the main theme of "Joining hands with the Central people affected by natural disasters, floods in 2020", units under EVN, Power Corporations were proactive in implementing customer gratitude programs  suitable to the locality and customers of each unit, ensuring practical, timely and spreading criteria in the community. Continuing to implement traditional customer gratitude programs and activities such as: reducing power supply time to new customers, fast settling of power failures, answering questions and handling customer complaints, ensuring stable and safe operation of the power system, technology application and IT to improve the quality of production, business and customer services, environmental protection work and safety are guaranteed. In 2020, facing many difficulties and challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic and consecutive storms and floods, all EVN staffs and employees have made continuous efforts to ensure adequate power supply for socio-economic development, while continuing to improve customer service quality.
