EVN works with China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation

On October 11, in Hanoi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) Dang Hoang An welcomed and worked with the delegation of China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation (CPECC) and leaders of its member companies. The delegation led by Mr. Vuong Luc – Vice President of CPECC

Also on the EVN side were Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh and leaders of the Group's departments.

This visit of CPECC is part of the plan to implement agreements between the leaders of China and Vietnam, in which enterprises of both sides are encouraged to cooperate in green power infrastructure, energy saving, emission reduction, etc.

At the meeting, Vice President of CPECC Vuong Luc said that in the past 10 years, CPECC has signed 127 projects in Vietnam with a total contract value of over USD 10 billion.

In addition, CPECC is also the developing, investing, and operating unit of the Hai Duong Thermal Power Plant project; conducts engineering surveys or general contractors for more than 20 thermal power projects; completes 13 general contractor projects with a total installed capacity of over 1.2GW for renewable energy projects in Vietnam.

CPECC leaders expressed their desire to expand new cooperation programs such as technical consulting and general contracting for offshore wind power projects; developing integrated energy sources; and consulting on technical upgrading and renovation of thermal power plants to improve their efficiency, reduce coal consumption, and protect the environment.

At the meeting, Chairman of EVN Board of Directors Dang Hoang An thanked CPECC for its interest and cooperation. EVN Chairman expects CPECC to strengthen the exchange and cooperate with EVN, especially in pumped-storage hydropower projects, batteries, etc., bringing CPECC's advanced technology and processes into development and having suitable practical applications in the Vietnam market.

The leaders of the two sides also discuss the upgrading and renovation of thermal power plants, pumped-storage hydropower plants, compressed-air storage plants, and other storage plant types...
