EVNHANOI shall secure a safe and stable power supply for the Capital

This is the affirmation of Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen - Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, at the Conference on reviewing work performance in 2020, towards realization of tasks in 2021, of Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI). The Conference took place on January 13 in Hanoi.

In 2020, the power sales reached 20.03 billion kWh, an increase of 0.17% compared to the plan and an increase of 2.63% compared to 2019. SAIDI (system average interruption duration index) of the Corporation as a whole was 173.50 minutes (a reduction of 791 minutes compared to 2016). Five power companies under EVNHANOI performed SAIDIs lower than 50 minutes including Hoan Kiem Power Company (PC), Ba Dinh PC, Dong Da PC, Cau Giay PC, North Tu Liem PC.

Also in the past year, EVNHANOI put into operation four unmanned 110 kV substations (Yen Phu, Phung, Minh Khai, Tran Hung Dao), bringing the total number of unmanned substations to 46 substations.

Last year, EVNHANOI completed investment, construction, rehabilitation and energizing of 21 power grid projects, meeting the plan assigned by EVN. The loss rate achieved 3.67% in 2020, 0.06% lower than that of 2019 and 0.23% lower than the target assigned by EVN (3.9%). This is a great effort of EVNHANOI in management, operation and investment in power grid infrastructure development.

Regarding business and customer service, up to now, the percentage of customers paying electricity bills without cash is estimated at 99.84%; in which the automatic debit ratio reached 21.68% (up 9.03% over the same period in 2019 and 1.98% higher than the plan assigned by EVN). Especially, in 2020, EVNHANOI piloted the use of a customer care system through multi-function loyalty cards (E-point application) on mobile devices. Currently, there are more than 18,860 customers participating in the service experience. In addition, EVNHANOI is a pioneer in developing and completing a customer satisfaction survey tool on the Customer Care Website, contributing to improving customer service in a professional and effective manner.

President and CEO of EVN Tran Dinh Nhan acknowledged and appreciated that EVNHANOI accomplished ahead of schedule and exceeding many targets in the 5-year plan 2016-2020 such as: Reducing power loss rate from 5.71% in 2015 to 3.72% by 2020; increasing labor productivity, ensuring employment and improving income for employees, widely deploying the automatic remote data collection system (EVNHES), etc.

Some production-business targets in 2021 of EVNHANOI:

• Power sales: ≥ 20.750 billion kWh, an increase of 3.5-4.5% compared to 2020.

• Capital construction investment value: estimated at VND8,019.8 billion.

• SAIDI: 228.6 minutes

• Labor productivity: 3.125 million kWh/person/year

• Time of getting access to electricity: < 4 days

• Rate of online electricity service level 4: over 80%.
