EVNHCMC evaluated a credit rating of “BB”

Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) has just been awarded the credit rating of “BB” in 2021 by Fitch Ratings (an international credit rating agency) with a positive outlook, equal to the credit rating of the parent company - Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and the national credit rating of Vietnam.

The "BB" rating with a positive outlook shows that EVNHCMC's customer service quality and business performance are getting better and better - Photo taken before 27 April 2021.

According to Fitch Ratings, EVNHCMC's financial profile is stronger than its credit rating. EVNHCMC's independent rating record is supported by its market position in power distribution in Ho Chi Minh City with diverse customers and a high rate of electricity bill collection.

Reportedly, when determining ratings, Fitch Ratings relies on the assessment of experts, including independent auditors of financial statements, lawyers on legal and tax issues. Immediately after the publication of the rating results, Fitch Ratings will monitor and evaluate the results of the business each year.

In 2020, EVNHCMC was also rated BB by Fitch Ratings.
