Along with EVNHCMC, in 2021, EVN's subsidiaries also have gained a remarkable development: Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) ranked 59/86 and Power Corporation of Ho Chi Minh City ranked first. Hanoi (EVNHANOI) ranked 67/86.
As for EVNHCMC, compared to 2020, EVNHCMC has increased by 17 grades. Specifically, in 2020, EVNHCMC ranked 70/85, after SPGroup (Singapore), TNB (Malaysia), Meralco (Philippines), MEA and PEA (Thailand) in Southeast Asia.
Mr. Duong Quang Thanh, Chairman of EVN’s Member Board highly appreciated the efforts made by EVNHCMC, EVNHANOI and EVNCPC which have made great progress in recent years. In particular, EVNHCMC has surpassed major power companies of Thailand and Malaysia to reach second rank in Southeast Asia.
This result demonstrates the role and efforts of EVNHCMC in particular and Vietnam Electricity in general in improving the reliability of power supply, quality of customer service, especially improving the access-to-electricity index - an important indicator in assessing the national competitiveness.
Since 2016, EVNHCMC has implemented the construction of a smart grid. This result has reflected the great efforts by EVNHCMC, especially during the difficult period affected by the COVID-19 pandemic; at the same time affirming the corporation's development in the right direction in developing the power system closely approach the world's modern power grid.

Topping the ranking band for 2021 is France’s electricity company – Enedis, Japan's TEPKO Group ranks 19th, and Korea's KEPCO Group ranks 41st.
According to SPGroup's assessment, in 2021, North American power companies attained a high level of development in all areas, except for power supply reliability. And power companies in Asia Pacific and Europe (including 3 distribution corporations of EVN) have made great improvements in power supply reliability (7%) and system security (10%).
