Delegates perform the nameplate mounting ceremony of Kien Thuy 110kV transmission line and substation
EVNNPC General Director Nguyen Duc Thien said that EVNNPC always pays attention to and arranges capital to invest in power project construction in Hai Phong City to ensure a safe, quality, and efficient power supply to meet the city's development. Specifically, in the 2021-2025 period, the Corporation has implemented 39 power projects and works with a total investment of over VND 4,000 billion in Hai Phong City, of which 10 projects have been completed and 29 are under investment and construction.
Kien Thuy 110kV substation
Kien Thuy 110kV transmission line and substation project managed by Hai Phong Power One Member Co., Ltd (Hai Phong PC) under the assignment of the Northern Power Corporation. The project commenced in December 2023, with a total investment of more than VND 125 billion. During the implementation, Hai Phong PC and functional departments have always closely monitored, urged, and coordinated with contractors to speed up the construction progress. By June 2024, all construction items of the Kien Thuy 110kV transmission line and substation project had been energized and put into operation.
The project was put into operation in accordance with the Hai Phong City Power Development Plan for the 2016 – 2025 period with a vision to 2035. The project, when put into operation, will contribute to ensuring power quality and improving the power supply reliability for industrial clusters, industrial parks, and power loads in Kien Thuy district and neighboring areas such as Do Son, Kien An, and Duong Kinh districts. At the same time, it helps reduce the power supply radius, reduce the power loss of the medium-voltage grid in the area; create medium-voltage loops with neighboring 110kV substations; is flexible in power supply and convenient in operation management, and is the basis for renovating, developing, and re-planning the existing regional power grid system.
