Ensuring safe operation of the power transmission system
Reporting at the Conference, EVNNPT’s General Director Pham Le Phu said: In 2022, EVNNPT has operated the power transmission system in a safe, uninterrupted and stable manner, together with EVN contributing to securing sufficient electricity supply for the socio-economic development of the country with a transmission power volume reaching 211.47 billion kWh, an increase of 5.28% compared to 2021.

Some achievements include: Application of artificial intelligence (AI) in image analysis and assessment of conditions of equipment on the power transmission grid; installation of 65/349 AI cameras/line surveillance cameras; switching 115/146 220kV substations to unmanned operation. EVNNPT has completed the installation of a lightning monitoring and warning system on the transmission grid, applying EMTP simulation software to report and analyze incidents and provide solutions for after-lightning incidents.

Many key and urgent projects have been put into operation in a timely manner
During the year, EVNNPT has completed an investment volume of VND 16,868 billion, reaching 83.1% of the plan, disbursing a construction investment volume of VND 16,524 billion, reaching 81.4% of the plan. EVNNPT has approved 24 pre-feasibility study reports; 15 feasibility study reports; 40 technical designs. Contractors have been selected for 943 packages of all kinds with a total contracted value of VND 10,626.58 billion, the saving rate reaching 6.61%.

The Corporation has started construction of 28 projects, including many important projects to evacuate capacity from power sources and ensure electricity supply. EVNNPT has energized 42 projects, including many important projects to absorb power from BOT power plants, renewable energy, hydropower plants, projects to serve electricity import and other projects to ensure electricity supply such as: third-circuit 500kV transmission lines Vung Ang - Quang Trach - Doc Soi, Van Phong - Vinh Tan, West Hanoi - Thuong Tin, Long Thanh turn to Phu My - Song May; Van Phong 500kV substation; 220kV transmission lines Thanh Hoa - Nghi Son - Quynh Luu, Lao Cai - Bao Thang, Bac Giang - Lang Son; 220kV substations Tuong Duong, Yen Hung, Bac Quang, Cam Ranh, etc.
EVNNPT has also paid special attention to the application of science and technology in construction and investment activities, particularly electronic work diaries and digital signatures that have been applied in project management. 100% of bidding packages bid via competitive offers and open bidding have been bid online.

Some key targets of EVNNPT in 2023:
- Transmission power volume is about 217.8 billion kWh, up 2.97% compared to 2022.
- Power loss rate on the transmission grid is 2.56%.
- Implementing overhaul with a value of VND 1,113 billion (corresponding to a savings of 10% of the planned).
- Completing and unmanned operating 8 220kV substations.
- Total construction investment value is VND 19,238 billion.
- Starting construction of 35 projects; completing and putting into operation 44 projects.
- Completing targets and tasks to improve production and business efficiency, increase labor productivity according to the plan assigned by EVN.
