Energizing AT1 transformer  at Tam Phuoc 220kV substation (Dong Nai)

At 2:52 p.m. on 23 December 2022, the Southern Power Projects Management Board (SPMB) coordinated with relevant units to perform the acceptance testing, and successfully energize the AT1 220kV-250MVA transformer at Tam Phuoc 220kV substation (Phuoc Tan commune, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province).

The Project of Investment and Construction of Tam Phuoc 220kV substation invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation, the scale of 2 transformers with a total capacity of 500MVA; at this phase, 1 machine 250MVA (AT1) shall be installed.

The 220kV part is designed at a scale of 12 bays; At this phase, equipment is installed for 7 bays, reserve positions for 5 bays. The 110kV part is designed at a scale of 18 bays, at this phase, equipment shall be installed for 9 bays, reserve positions for 9 bays. The 22kV part of outdoor equipment is arranged by the power supply block diagram for self-use. The systems of control, protection, measurement, metering, communication and SCADA are equipped in accordance with regulations of EVN, EVNNPT; compliance with applicable technical requirements and regulations.

As for the 220kV line, connection and new construction of 220kV lines with dual circuits (one circuit shall be hung for each section first) to connect the Tam Phuoc 220kV substation to the existing Long Thanh - Long Binh 220kV transmission line.

Once completed, the project will ensure power supply for loads of Bien Hoa city in particular and Dong Nai province in general, reducing the load on transformers at the existing Long Thanh and Long Binh 220kV substations.
