Energizing AT1 transformer under the project of increasing capacity of 220kV substation of Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant

At 10:18 a.m on 30 December 2021, at the 220/110/35kV substation of Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant (Tan Thinh ward, Hoa Binh city, Hoa Binh province), Power Project Management Board 1 (EVNPMB 1) cooperated with related units to organize the acceptance and successfully energize AT1 transformer with a capacity of 125MVA.

The project of replacing distribution equipment and increasing the capacity of 220/110/35kV substation of Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant is invested by Vietnam Electricity (EVN), managed and operated by EVNPMB 1. The project is scaled: replacing 2 existing transformers with 2 transformers 230/121/38.5kV - 125MVA and some related equipment.

The successful energizing of the AT1 transformer contributes to improving the reliability of safe and stable power supply for Hoa Binh province and a part of Hanoi. At the same time, it strengthens the connection of the regional power system, reduces the load on the Xuan Mai 220kV substation and significantly limits the capacity loss on the power grid, thereby increasing the overall production and business efficiency of EVN.
