Energizing Bac Giang - Lang Son 220kV transmission line project

At 12:57 on December 31, the Central Power Projects Management Board (CPMB) in coordination with relevant units energized Bac Giang - Lang Son 220kV transmission line project.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh – CPMB’s Deputy Director under authorization of Acceptance Council at investor level chairing acceptance council meeting at investor level of Bac Giang - Lang Son 220kV transmission line project.

The project is invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), managed by CPMB, and operated by Power Transmission Company 1.

The  Bac Giang - Lang Son 220kV transmission line project has a total investment of more than VND 816.4 billion, with a scale of new construction of 101.6km of 220kV line, from the existing Bac Giang 220kV substation to the new construction Lang Son 220kV substation; building 2 new 220kV bays at Bac Giang 220kV substation and Lang Son transmission line operation house.

The transmission line passes through Lang Giang, Luc Nam, Luc Ngan districts and Bac Giang City (Bac Giang province); Huu Lung, Chi Lang, Cao Loc, City districts and Lang Son City (Lang Son province).

The completion of energization has an important meaning in receiving part of the capacity from Nho Que Hydropower Plant, increasing the capacity of the loads in Lang Son, Bac Giang and surrounding areas, ready to release the renewable energy source in Lang Son province to the national power system.

The completion of the project also creates a connection for the transmission power grid in the region; increases the power supply safety, reliability and capacity for the Northern region.
