Jica project is scaled with 206km of medium-voltage transmission line, 195km of low-voltage transmission line, 40 substations with total capacity of 10,063kVA, 22 sets of breakers Recloser and 6 breaker combination cabinets. The project consists of 4 bidding packages with the total investment of VND 236 billion from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
From 4 April 2018, Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) assigned PC Phu Yen to simultaneously deploy this project in 65 wards, communes and towns in 9 districts, townships and cities of Phu Yen Province with the purpose of ensuring safe, stable power supply to people, meeting the demand for power consumption growth of 8 - 10% per year and reaching projects of enterprises investing in Phu Yen Province.

Mr. Thai Minh Chau - Director of PC Phu Yen said that after 5 months, PC Phu Yen had completed construction of phase 1, accounting for nearly 40% of the total project volume, in line with the set schedule.
During phase 1, PC Phu Yen paid special attention to the construction of substations and new 0.4kV lines for residential areas in rural areas and areas heavily affected by Storm No. 12 in 2017. At the same time, the Company gave priority to improving medium-voltage lines for supplying power to mountainous areas before the rainy season in 2018.
