Energizing and putting into operation Phu Tho 220 kV Substation

On April 2, 2018, the Northern Power Project Management Board (NPMB) in cooperation with related organization has energized and put into operation Phu Tho 220 kV Substation.

At the first phase, the substation operates one 220 kV transformer and installs equipment for four 220 kV feeders and nine 110 kV feeders.

Putting into operation Phu Tho 220 kV Substation just before the hot season in 2018 will meet the socio - economic development needs and the load growth of Phu Tho province; providing flexibility in the operation of the power grid in general.

The substation is located in Dai An Commune, Thanh Ba District, Phu Tho Province; being an energy project of Class I, Group B, with a total investment cost of more than VND 280.8 billion, and invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT). The total designed capacity includes two transformers 220/110/22 kV – 250 MVA.
