Panoramic view of Pho Noi 500kV substation and feeder expansion part
The component project of Expanding feeders of Pho Noi 500kV substation is built on the reserve land area for two 500kV transmission line feeders located within the existing Pho Noi 500kV substation.
The energization of the component project aims to prepare for the energization of 2 circuits of the third 500kV transmission line section from Nam Dinh I TPP to Pho Noi to strengthen the grid interconnection and improve the power supply stability and safety.
Expanding feeders of Pho Noi 500kV substation helps raise the reserve margin at the North-Central interface, combined with the third 500kV transmission line section Quang Trach - Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa - Nam Dinh I to contribute to creating a strong link from power sources in the North Central region to load centers in the North, which creates an important basis for safe, reliable, stable and optimal operation of the power system, contributing to reducing power system operating costs; evacuating energy from thermal power plants as well as renewable energy plants in the North Central region and surrounding areas into the national power system, providing electricity to load centers in the North.
This is the second component of the third 500kV transmission line project being completely energized (the first one is the extension of Quang Trach 500kV substation). This project component completion is an important motivation for the entire construction crew to determine to complete the whole third 500kV transmission line project, meeting the Prime Minister's direction requirements.
The component of Expanding feeders of Pho Noi substation belongs to the subproject of 500kV transmission line section Nam Dinh I TPP - Pho Noi, invested by EVNNPT, implemented by the Northern Power Projects Management Board on behalf of EVNNPT.
The project is designed by Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4; Minh Quang Mechanical and Electrical Joint Stock Company undertakes construction and installation of materials and equipment; Power Transmission Technical Services Company performs computer configuration, Power Transmission Company 1 is the electrical supervision consultant and will take over the project for operation.
