Fostering collaboration between EVN and Hitachi Energy

On May 30th in Hanoi, Nguyen Anh Tuan, President and CEO of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), convened a meeting with Claudio Facchin, CEO of Hitachi Energy, to explore potential avenues for collaboration in the energy sector.

Hitachi Energy, a prominent technology firm, has forged partnerships with enterprises in over 140 countries globally. At present, Hitachi Energy is intensifying its research and development initiatives to deliver state-of-the-art products and solutions that support safe and efficient operations and maintenance while also playing a pivotal role in the global energy transition.

Hitachi Energy is eager to collaborate with EVN and offer its advanced technical solutions to support EVN in its energy transition journey.

During the discussions, President and CEO Nguyen Anh Tuan underscored Vietnam's unwavering commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, as articulated at COP26. In line with the government's pledges, EVN is diligently pursuing energy transition strategies and fostering the development of green energy sources. Therefore, EVN is eager for Hitachi Energy's support and expertise in implementing advanced technologies and techniques to facilitate this transition.

The meeting featured comprehensive discussions on technological solutions to ensure energy security and delved into various aspects of the energy transition in Vietnam. Both parties agreed on the necessity of ongoing dialogue and committed to further elaborating on the specifics to enhance their future cooperation.
