Even though the work commencement started in March 2018, its main construction phase was right in the middle of rainy season, facing many difficulties, but the overall progress was still 45 days ahead of the contract term. Thereby, the National Great Unity Festival in Pa Khom coincided with the day of power energization, such happiness seems to be multiplied for the H’mong ethnic people in Pa Khom.
The Director of Son La Power Company – Mr. Cam Van Giao said that from the capital source of power supply project in four districts of Da river-bed and its nearby areas, Son La Power Company has balanced it to further supply power for 13 villages in Yen Chau district, including Pa Khom village. So far, only 5 villages of Chieng Hac commune in Yen Chau district have not been supplied power, the power coverage has accounted for 96.7%. Particularly, the investment in power supply for 13 villages in Yen Chau district includes: Nearly 25km of 35kV transmission line, 19km of 0.4kV transmission line, ten 35/0.4kV substations, 651 meters, lights connected to each household. For Pa Khom village in particular, 40 households have already installed meters and lights, and at the same time, people have been instructed in preparing contracts for safe power use.
