More than 2.4 million customers in the capital city were exempted from or enjoyed reduced electricity bills due to the impact of COVID-19 epidemic

According to a report from Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI), up to 31 July, 2020, more than 2.4 million customers enjoyed support from exemption or reduction of electricity bill, due to the impact of COVID-19 epidemic, with a total amount of nearly VND 900 billion.

By the end of the stage of exemption and reduction of electricity bill due to the impact of COVID-19, EVNHANOI has exempted or reduced billing for more than 2.4 million customers with a total amount of nearly VND900 billion.

Following the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Vietnam Electricity (EVN), over the past time, EVNHANOI strictly implemented and created maximum conditions for electricity customers, especially tourist accommodation establishment customers to enjoy electricity price incentives in accordance with regulation. The time to apply the electricity price and electricity bill reduction support is three consecutive months; in which, the applicable time for residential customers was from the May 2020 billing period to July 2020 billing period, the applicable time for non-residential customers was from  16 April, 2020 until the end of  15 July, 2020.

From the electricity billing period of August 2020, electricity customers can track their family's electricity bills using the regular electronic bill forms.
