Power production of the whole system in May 2022 reached 23.34 billion kWh. Power accumulated for 5 months reached 108.95 billion kWh, an increase of 4.1% compared to that of the same period. In which, the mobilization rate of some main sources is as follows:
+ Hydropower reached 30.53 billion kWh, accounting for 28% of the total power output of the whole system.
+ Coal thermal power reached 48.12 billion kWh, accounting for 44.2% of the total power production of the whole system.
+ Gas turbines reached 12.97 billion kWh, accounting for 11.9% of the total power production of the whole system.
+ Renewable energy (wind power, solar power, biomass power) reached 16.18 billion kWh, accounting for 14.8% of the total power production of the whole system (solar power reached 11.73 billion kWh, wind power reached 4.19 billion kWh).
+ Imported power reached 853 million kWh, accounting for 0.8% of the total power production of the whole system.
In the first five months of 2022, power produced by EVN and Power Generation Corporations (including joint stock companies) reached 48.14 billion kWh, accounting for 44.18% of the power production of the whole system. Power transmission output in May 2022 reached 18.61 billion kWh. As accumulated in the first 5 months of 2022, power transmission output reached 85.39 billion kWh, increasing by 2% compared with that of the same period in 2021.
EVN's commercial power output in May 2022 is estimated at 20.01 billion kWh. Accumulated 5 months of 2022 reached 95.31 billion kWh, increasing by 5.3% over the same period in 2021.
For business and customer service: By the end of May 2022, the rate of customers paying power bills without cash reached 88.34%; the rate of power bill payment without cash reaching all EVN reached 96.97%.
Construction investment: In the first 5 months of 2022, EVN and its units have commenced 51 projects and completed energizing and putting into operation 41 power grid projects from 110kV to 500kV (including 04 projects of 500kV, 06 projects of 220kV and 31 works of 110kV). In which, Quang Trach - Doc Soi 500kV transmission line and Quang Trach 500kV distribution yard have been energized; energizing 01 circuit of Lao Cai - Bao Thang 220kV transmission line; Tuong Duong 220kV substation; increase capacity of Nha Be and O Mon 500kV substations, and so on. For power source projects such as the Expanded Ialy Hydropower Plant Project: The basic construction volume has reached the plan; Quang Trach infrastructure project: continuing to focus on construction after the designs for items of coal import port and breakwater are approved for the first phase, and so on.
Some objectives and tasks of EVN in June 2022
In June 2022, it is expected that the average power consumption of the whole system will be at 787.8 million kWh/day (1.1% lower than that of the same period last year), and the largest load capacity is estimated at 45,684MW.
Regarding the mobilization of power sources: Maximizing the mobilization of hydroelectric power plants with good water; coal-fired power, gas turbine mobilized according to system demand and hydro-thermal power optimization problem; import power with an expected output of 185 million kWh, with a capacity of about 450MW as per the signed contract; backup oil thermal power.
Regarding construction investment: Continue to arrange loans for power source and grid projects: Monsoon - Thanh My 500kV transmission line project, Lao Cai 500kV substation project, Ialy Hydropower Plant expansion project.
