Focus on effective application of Industry Revolutionary 4.0 achievements.
Recently, EVN’s Board of Members has approved the Orientation of IT Development Plan in EVN for 2019 – 2025 period.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tuan, Head of EVN's Telecom - IT Department, said that the common goal, by 2025, for EVN is to basically complete the application of technologies of Industry Revolutionary 4.0 (RV 4.0) to build up and develop modern and advanced IT systems to meet the needs of production and business operation, business administration, electricity market operation, power system operation/management.
At the same time, by 2025, the following shall be performed: unifying the overall architecture of the IT system in accordance with EVN's digital transformation roadmap (including hardware and software); standardizing technology standards, data structures to ensure integration and expansion aspects in the future. All the shared and specific IT systems developed by the units shall comply with the architecture, technology standards, common data structures and be approved by the Group before implementation.
Accordingly, in terms of IT architecture, the Group aims to develop 4 layers, including: Business architecture, information architecture, application architecture and technology engineering architecture.

With IT software, with a vision to 2020, EVN completes upgrading the existing softwares to improve the quality of electricity services to be equal to the 4-level public administration services. In the period 2019 – 2025, some tasks are to be performed: completing the development of a shared database based on 7 core softwares of the Group; completing the electronic office; Applying smart metering technology.

The Group also has orientation to develop IT infrastructure, upgrade WAN and LAN systems, build EVN’s Cloud, complete transformation of the entire IT infrastructure system in the view of virtualization.
At the same time, the security and privacy factors shall be focused on. EVN will also develop and complete IT policies to enhance professionalism and improve quality of IT products and services; develop high-quality IT human resources in the Group
