Speaking at the conference, EVN General Director Tran Dinh Nhan assessed that most of EVN's projects assigned to Power Project Management Board (PMB) 1 met the progress requirements, typically: commencement of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion project; completion of the feasibility study report for the Dung Quat I, Dung Quat III Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Thermal Power Projects; Feasibility study for transmission projects such as Nam Mo-Tuong Duong 220kV power line, Lao Cai 500kV Substation, Lao Cai-Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line. Power PMB 1 also ensured progress, quality and prestige for projects entrusted by EVN (Tan My, Ban Lai irrigation projects, Outlet of Bac Ai Pumped-Storage Hydropower project, Loc Ninh 1, 2, 3 solar power projects).

In 2021, the Board will focus on completion of final settlement of Son La and Lai Chau Hydropower Projects; Completion of the planned workload for Dung Quat Shared Infrastructure Project, Dung Quat I and Dung Quat III Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Projects, Director of Power PMB 1 Bui Phuong Nam said.
For the key project of Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion, in 2021, Power PMB 1 will strive to complete capital negotiation and capital arrangement; to complete the work of compensation, resettlement and site clearance; to organize implementation and supervising the construction of items in Ba Cap Port (phase 1) relocation, items of plant construction package, ensuring schedule of implementation and quality of work.
At the same time, the Board will follow up the progress and plans of power transmission projects including Nam Mo (Laos)-Tuong Duong (the section in the territory of Vietnam) 220kV power line project; Lao Cai 500kV substation and 220kV connected lines project; Lao Cai-Vinh Yen 500kV power line project and widening 500kV bay at Vinh Yen 500kV substation.
