Agriculture is booming
Since the national grid, large-scale production farms applying high technologies to growing flowers, vegetables, etc., is the direction for taking advantage of land area to develop and get rich of many farmers, farms and cooperatives in Lam Dong province.
Prerequisite factor
Since 2004, Lam Dong province has determined that developing high-tech agriculture is an inevitable direction with positive impacts on the local socio-economic development. And one of the indispensable conditions to develop hi-tech agriculture is a stable power supply.
Mr. Pham S - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong People's Committee said: “In order to sustainably develop the model of high-tech agriculture, a stable power supply is a necessity. Over the years, Lam Dong Power Company has properly performed its task of supplying adequate power amount at high quality for high-tech agriculture in both urban and rural areas. As a result, the agriculture in Lam Dong has grown to a new height”.
According to Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Quy Hung - Deputy Director of Lam Dong Power Company, in the period of 2016-2019, the Company invested more than VND 213 billion in the rural power grid. In addition, the Company has invested VND 37.4 billion (constructing 52.91km of new medium voltage lines, 56.17 km of new low voltage lines) in works supplying power to pumping and irrigation stations for agriculture.
The province’s target by 2025, high technologies will be applied to more than 65 thousand hectares of agricultural land. Therefore, in the coming years, besides ensuring sufficient power supply with high quality, Lam Dong PC is about to further improve its customer services. Power sector has been playing an important role and making significant contribution to the success of high-tech agriculture in Lam Dong.

- Area: 9,783km2 (7th largest in the country);
- Including 2 cities, 10 districts, 147 communes, wards and towns.
- At present, Lam Dong PC is managing 09 110kV Transformer station and 352,78km of 110kV lines; 3,843.3 km of 22kV transmission line; Supplying power to 99.89% of households in the province.
