Quang Trach 1 TPP Project belongs to Quang Trach Power Center, invested by Vietnam Electricity (EVN), and the project is directly managed and operated by Power Project Management Board 2 (EVNPMB2) on behalf of EVN.
Prime Minister requests contractors to speed up construction progress
The project includes 2 units, with a total capacity of 1403MW. When put into operation, it will contribute to ensuring electrical safety for the system; contributing to socio-economic development, increasing budget revenue for Quang Binh province, and creating jobs for people in the locality.
Commenced in December 2021, to date, the overall project progress has reached 60.56%. In particular, construction items such as Bored piles have been completed; Reinforced the foundation with cement deep mixing piles (CDM piles) in the coal warehouse area; turbine house foundation of unit 1 and unit 2; boiler foundation of unit 1 and unit 2; chimney (concrete); foundation of central control house; some tank foundations in the water treatment area, and so on.

Prime Minister shares and encourages construction workers on construction site
To ensure the progress of completion of the above projects, EVN/EVNPMB2 recommended that the Prime Minister direct Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee to continue supporting EVN/EVNPMB2 to accelerate the progress of project implementation. Compensation and site clearance, especially the scope of freshwater pipelines, resettlement arrangements, and waste disposal site planning; direct relevant ministries and branches to continue to support and create conditions for EVN in the process of implementing projects.

Noting the results of the Project achieved so far, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested EVN, PPMB2, and contractors to continue their efforts, concentrate all resources, and research solutions to speed up the project construction progress, and so on.
Quang Trach Power Center includes 3 projects: the Infrastructure Project of Quang Trach Power Center, Quang Trach I TPP, and Quang Trach II LNG Project.
