Mr. Luu Viet Tien - Deputy General Director of EVNNPT said that after a period of great effort in casting foundations, erecting columns, and especially the drastic participation of localities in the handover of the route corridor, today, EVNNPT and the contractor organized pulling the first anchoring cable of the Project. This is the starting point conducted so that the entire route will be pulled simultaneously from next week.
"Currently, EVNNPT is urging contractors to accelerate the construction progress of the remaining foundation positions, striving to complete 100% of the foundation item by about May 15, with the total columns completed by the end of May 2024 by mid-June 2024, the entire line will be completed and the project will be energized by the end of June 2024 in accordance with the Prime Minister's direction," Mr. Luu Viet Tien said.
Pulling first anchoring cable of 500kV transmission line project, Nam Dinh 1 Thermal Power Plant - Thanh Hoa
According to Mr. Tran Kim Vu - Deputy Director of the Northern Project Management Board, currently, the foundation excavation and casting volume of the Project is nearly completed (176/180 positions completed).

Anchoring sections 36-38 is the intersection point with the existing 35kV line, hence, to prepare for wire pulling, the contractor shall register for a power outage, build scaffolding, and insulate the distribution line to ensure safety for construction, etc.

The Project will be implemented from the end of October 2023. The project has a length of about 74.4 km, with 180 column foundation positions and 72 anchorages. The project goes through 3 provinces: Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, and Thanh Hoa. As of 12:00 on May 12, 2024, the Project has completed 176/180 foundation positions, completed 117/180 columns, is erecting 38 columns, and is pulling the first anchoring cable.
Once completed, the Project will help reduce load and avoid overloading existing 500kV transmission lines, ensuring N-1 criteria. At the same time, it helps improve transmission stability reserves on the North - Central section, combined with the 500kV transmission line sections of Quang Trach - Quynh Luu, Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa, Nam Dinh I - Pho Noi Thermal Power Plant, contributing to adding capacity from power sources in the North Central region to the load center in the Northern region.
