The rotor of unit 2 of Lai Chau Hydropower Plant was installed successfully
This is an important milestone in the project schedule to go forward to commissioning of equipment and component systems, meeting the target of operating unit 2 of Lai Chau Hydropower Plant by the end of June 2016.
The generating motor of unit 2 is 1,000 ton heavy, with diameter of 15,589 mm, height of 2,816 mm. Before the rotor was installed, contractors had completed the installation of turbine, stator, bridge crane, lifting equipment system, insulation testing, etc.
