Son La: 256 Hmong ethnic minority households connected to the national grid

On 30 December 2021, Son La Power Company (Son La PC) energized the project of national grid power supply for 256 Hmong ethnic minority households in 5 villages in Chieng Kheo commune, Mai Son district, Son La province. Thereby, it has increased the total number of households using electricity from the national grid in Chieng Kheo commune to 100%.

Households in the village are supported to install a metering system with electric panels, wires and a light bulb free of charge. 

The project of supplying power from the national grid for households in Chieng Kheo commune is invested by the Department of Industry and Trade of Son La province and is managed by Son La Power Company.

According to the plan, from now to before the Lunar New Year 2022, Son La province is striving to have 5,300 households more using power from the national grid, increasing the rate of households using the national grid up to 98.5%.
