In 10 years of operation of Son La Hydropower Plant and in 4 years of operation of Lai Chau Hydropower Plant, recently, Son La Hydropower Company has achieved an output of 100 billion kWh, marking a proud journey of the largest hydroelectric project in Southeast Asia.
It can be said that this milestone is the honor and pride of staff and employees of Son La Hydropower Company, as well as the motivation for the company to try harder and do better its tasks assigned by EVN. The movement has promoted creativity in production in the technical field, actively contributing to the development of the power industry in general and Son La Hydropower Company in particular.

Recently, the EVN-level Initiative Review Council has reviewed many initiatives at Son La Hydropower Company to award great prizes related to technological improvement, increase of operational efficiency and reliability of units, dam safety management and management initiatives.
Recently, Son La Hydropower Company has participated in and won the 1st prize in the 7th Son La Technical Innovation Contest 2020 with the initiative "Research and test capacity characteristics of sf400-66/16470 generator at Son La Hydropower Plant using drawings provided by the contractor. Writing software for drawing power characteristics of salient pole synchronous generators" and three initiatives won consolation prize in the contest.
The solution applied into practice proved that it would contribute to optimizing operating modes, in looking up, training, investigating capacity to adjust capacity of all generators in the power system with different specifications, Engineer Do Viet Bach, author of the initiative, shared.
In terms of economic value, the author of "Power characteristic curve 1.1" software with optional input data said that is applicable to all generators on the system. The advantages of the software if fully applied in practice would bring a guaranteed benefit of VND15 billion.
