Xa Ho households officially connected to the national power grid
People living in the commune are mainly of the Mong ethnic group.
As planned, the power supply is continued to households in some villages and hamlets in the commune that have not yet been supplied power from the national power grid. In 2020, the Department of Industry and Trade of Yen Bai province will implement the subproject on rural power supply from the national grid of Yen Bai province for the period 2018-2020 funded by the EU. This project is aimed at investing in building power grid infrastructure to supply power to 5 villages in Xa Ho commune, including: Trong Khua, Ta Dang, Cau Go, Suoi Giao and Khau De with an investment scale of 6,269 km of 35kV; 04 substations distributing 35/0.4kV with total installed capacity of 435kVA and nearly 10km of line 0.4kV, newly installed 375 1-phase electronic meters to supply power to households. Investment project on synchronous conductors from behind the meter to places where power is used for households (maximum 120 meters of conducting line), equipped with 1 power board and 1 220V-40W compact lamp.
On 4 February 2021, Nghia Lo Power unit (under Yen Bai Power Company) cooperated with the Investor and the construction contractor to inspect and energize the works, supply power to households in 5 villages, including: Trong Khua, Ta Dang, Cau Go, Suoi Giao and Khau De.
Currently, in Tram Tau district, there are 45/57 villages supplied power from the national power grid, the rate of households watching television and listening to radios reaches 94%. Power supply to create more motivation for economic - cultural - social development, maintain national defense – security and accelerate the process of poverty reduction..
