Safe and stable operation of 2 plants
In 2022, the company's total power production is 12.89 billion kWh, reaching 100.12% of the plan assigned by Vietnam Electricity. In which, Son La Hydropower Plant produced 8,813 billion kWh, and Lai Chau Hydropower Plant reached 4,077 billion kWh. In recent years, when the number of renewable energy plants put into operation is increasing, the power units of Son La and Lai Chau hydropower plants play an important role in the process of regulating frequency and pressure so as to keep the power system stable in Vietnam.

As the leading enterprise in tax payment in the locality, in 2022 the company paid VND 2,317 billion to the state budget (in which, the payment made in Son La province is VND 964 billion, Lai Chau province at VND 730 billion, Dien Bien province at VND 165 billion and the Vietnam Forest Protection and Development Fund at VND 458 billion), making an important contribution to the promotion of socio-economic development in the Northwest region.
In 2022, the company has 2 initiatives recognized by EVN; 1 solution was awarded the first prize "The 5th Lai Chau Provincial Technical Innovation Contest", 1 solution was awarded the Second Prize and 1 solution was awarded the Consolation Prize "The 8th Son La Provincial Technical Innovation Contest". The Company's Youth Union has contributed 5 excellent initiatives that won awards and were commended at the "National Creative Youth Festival 2022"; participated in the 10,000-initiative program organized by the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, in which the company has contributed 39 initiatives (beyond 8 initiatives).

Some goals of Son La Hydropower Company in 2023::
- Reaching and exceeding the produced power output of 12,405 billion kWh;
- No accidents, occupational accidents by subjective factors causing damage to people, equipment and works;
- Reducing production and business costs, increasing capital efficiency, saving up 10% of cost plan.
- Completing 100% of major repair items assigned by EVN to ensure safety, quality, progress, reduce outage time for maintenance.
- Continuing to implement the program to improve the stability and reliability of Son La and Lai Chau power plants.
