Strengthening transmission capacity of Nho Quan - Thanh Hoa 220kV line

The project of replacing power wires to enhance the transmission capacity of the Nho Quan - Thanh Hoa 220 kV line is deploying work to implement the plan in 2018 of Power Transmission Company No. 1 (PTC1). The ceremony of deploying construction and launching emulation on completion of the project was organized by PTC 1 in Thanh Hoa.

The Nho Quan - Thanh Hoa 220kV power line is 62.7 km long and plays an important role in connecting the 220 kV key lines in the North to the North Central provinces.

The current lines have been operated for 30 years so they have no longer met the power transmission demand from the 500kV substation in Nho Quan (Ninh Binh) to the 220kV one in Thanh Hoa province and in the North Central region.

The project of replacing wires of Nho Quan - Thanh Hoa 220kV transmission line is a key project of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), assigned to PTC 1 for management. The project is expected to be completed before the second quarter of 2018 with a total investment of nearly VND190 billion.

The main construction items of the project: Replacing the existing wires with ACCC-367 super-thermal conductor ones, replacing the existing anti-lightning wires with lightning conductor combined with optical cables, replacing the existing insulation wires by others with glass insulation materials.

The project also implements  the replacement, supplementation, adjustment of some equipment of the primary and secondary circuits.
