Vinh Tan 4 Expansion Thermal Power Plant: coal burning to be expected at the end of March

According to Vinh Tan Thermal Management Board, up to now, the total schedule of Vinh Tan 4 Expansion Thermal Power Plant project has reached 93% of the set plan. In which, its design and procurement of equipment has been completed, construction and installation of basic items at the site has reached 94% of the progress.

Particularly, in the main generator room, the contractor has installed main equipment of turbine, generator, transformer, electric pole cutter. The plant has completed boiler pressure testing for high, medium-voltage part, condensate piping system and water supply system, etc.

With a positive progress, the Plant will start its first burning furnace with light oil of LDO, clearing and blowing up the furnace at the end of January 2019, it is planned to burn coal dust (imported from Indonesia) on 20th March 2019, promote connection to the National Power Grid in mid-2019.

Vinh Tan 4 Expansion Thermal Power Plant is equipped with a generator unit at a capacity of 600MW invested by Vietnam Electricity; constructed by Contractor group of Doosan - Mitsubishi - PECC2 - Pacific (DMPP) to ensure the progress set by the Owner.
