According to the Director of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant Vu Thanh Hai, in 2020, the power output of the plant reached 11.765 billion kWh, reaching over 101% of the plan assigned by EVN; submitted to the 2020 budget over VND463.5 billion. The plant maintained safe and continuous power production, ensuring power output to the power system, especially in the peak months of the dry season, contributing to ensuring national energy security.
The coal consumption rate had been significantly reduced, the plant availability had been improved, failure rate had decreased. The unit had also performed well in the bidding and management of importing coal purchase contracts, quickly troubleshot problems in the coal supply system.
Safe operation and environmental protection had been issues of top concerns of the plant. During operation, all parameters of wastewater and flue gas are always better than the permitted standards and are published on the displaying screen, data are transmitted directly to Binh Thuan Department of Natural Resources and Environment 24/24h for supervising. In the whole year 2020, the plant did not let any environmental problems happen.
In parallel with production-business activities, the plant has also cooperated closely with local authorities and related units in maintaining order and security; ensured social security, supported the locality in building a new countryside.

- Total electricity production: Over 10.8 billion kWh.
- Net heat consumption rate: 10,200 kJ/kWh;
- Auxiliary power consumption rate: 7.14%;
- Availability: 86.30%.
