Mr. Vu Thanh Hai, Director of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant (TPP), said that Vinh Tan 4 TPP was invested with modern technology by EVN with supercritical parameter boilers, close generation process, modern waste gas and water treatment system manufactured by G7 countries, Japan and South Korea. The plant uses the main fuel of imported bituminous and sub-bituminous coal, with high burnout, reducing ash and slag volume. Advanced technology is the fundamental advantage that helps the Plant operates in an eco-friendly manner.
Leaders, staffs and employees of the plant always absolutely follow strict regulations on environmental protection, associating production with sustainable development. As a result, after one year in operation, the plant has always ensured safe, effective and eco-friendly operation and production parameters. To date, the plant has generated more than 13.7 billion kWh, contributing to the country’s power supply, serving socio-economic development, especially in the South.
The talk show was attended by representatives of Binh Thuan Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Tuy Phong District Party Committee and People's Committee, Vinh Tan authorities and people; with staffs and employees of power plants in the locality
Mr. Duong Hong Son, Vice Chairman of Tuy Phong District People's Committee, acknowledged that Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant has ensured environmental protection at the Plant and slag yards. The index of exhaust fumes, waste and wastewater has been well controlled, within the allowed limits and lower as prescribed in current legislative documents on environmental protection.
The leaders of the DPC also especially acknowledged serious sense of environmental protection of the plant through specific jobs such as: Planting and supplementing a lot of trees in the plant’s site, strengthening the work of extinguishing dust in coal warehouse to prevent it from spreading to adjacent residential areas, etc.
The stable operation and efficient generation of the plant has contributed greatly to the assurance of national energy security, while contributing to the local budget up to hundreds of billions of Vietnamese dong.
Mr. Duong Hong Son suggested the plant continue to maintain and promote environmental protection and organize many talk shows to help people and agencies understand more about its operation and generation. The district is committed to supporting and creating favourable conditions for the plant to operate safely and stably.
