Capacity of AT1 transformer of Bao Loc 220kV substation was increased successfully in the evening of 17 November 2019
The work was implemented inside the site of Bao Loc 220kV substation as follows: replacing the existing 220/110/35kV - 63MVA transformer by 220/110/11kV - 125MVA one. Besides, the existing 35/0.4kV - 250MVA auxiliary transformer was replaced by 11/0.4kV - 250MVA one; 220kV busbar was equipped with lightning arrester; the system of measurement, controlling, protection and other relevant systems were completed and suitable with newly-installed equipment of the substation.
The project is invested by National Power Transmission Corporation, and operated and managed by Central Vietnam Power Projects Management Board. When the project is completed, it will be operated by Power Transmission Company No. 3.
The substation was increased in the capacity in order to satisfy the demand of the power load development of Bao Loc city and nearby areas, increase the power supply capacity according to N-1 Criterion, enhance the power quality, the stability and reliability of power supply and reduce the power loss in the local grid system.
This is a final work under the project of increasing the capacity of Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Krong Buk, Bao Loc 220kV substations and 220kV transformer of 500kV Pleiku substation, of the National Power Transmission Corporation.
