The mission reviewed environmental protection at Vinh Tan 4 and Vinh Tan 4 Extenstion Thermal Power Plants. The mission visited the coal import port, grasped the situation of wastewater and gas emission parameters of the power plant; the slag yard of Vinh Tan Power Complex, as well as the electricity generation status of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant in the past time.
After the site visit, the mission assessed that the environment around the power plant is green - clean – beautiful and dust-free. The wastewater area and the cooling water channel are very clean, and corals have appeared right on the embankment of the coal port. The power plant has fulfilled the environmental protection procedures in accordance with legal regulations, well-performed communication, published gas emission and cooling water monitoring parameters on an electronic board on the plant gate to facilitate local people’s monitoring and observation.
The power plants of Vinh Tan Power Complex in general and Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant, in particular, have invested in a lot of equipment, effectively implemented many solutions to protect the environment, promoted the consumption of fly ash and slag and achieved many positive results.
