Reporting at the ceremony, the EEMC representative said: Based on the development of the 500kV power transmission grid in Vietnam in recent years, transformers with capacity of 3x150MVA and 3x200MVA have been gradually replaced by transformers with capacity of 3x300MVA. Therefore, EEMC realized the need to soon research and manufacture 500kV transformers with a capacity of 3x300MVA to meet market demand. With the goal of mastering the design and manufacturing technology of this large capacity transformer, Dong Anh Electrical Equipment Corporation proposed and was approved by MOST to implement the national pilot production project "Completing the design and manufacturing technology of 500kV-3x300MVA  transformer sets". After implementing many preparatory work items for manufacturing, from building a 500kV laboratory, upgrading the facilities, and investing in technological equipment; from September 2024, the MBA production process was carried out urgently but cautiously under the close supervision of design and technology engineers to ensure the highest quality for this important product. Up to now, after completing manufacturing, the 500kV-3x300MVA transformer has been tested and passed all testing items for ex-work purposes complying with the IEC standards.

This is the result of the creative working spirit and outstanding efforts of the collective of engineers and workers of EEMC when for the first time a domestic enterprise successfully designed and manufactured the 500kV transformer with the largest capacity on the Vietnamese transmission grid.

The successful design and manufacture of the 500kV - 3x300MVA transformer has helped EEMC train a team of design engineers, technology engineers, managers, and skilled technical workers to master the 500kV transformer manufacturing technology equipment line. This success is also the premise for EEMC to continue to strive to research and develop new products such as 500kV current transformers, voltage transformers, electric reactors, clean gas-insulated GIS stations, disconnecting switches, etc., contributing to the localization of main electrical equipment on the Vietnamese power grid. The project "design and manufacture of 500kV - 3x300MVA transformer" was successfully implemented and the name board was affixed, which is the most practical action of the collective leadership and employees of EEMC to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the traditional day of Vietnam Electricity (December 21, 1954 - December 21, 2024).
