In recent days, due to the impact of Typhoon No. 11’s circulation, causing widespread flooding in Thai Nguyen, approximately 750 distribution substations were submerged and had to be shut down, resulting in temporary power outages for about 328,000 customers. Thai Nguyen Power Company has mobilized all available personnel and resources, making every effort to inspect, restore, and reconnect power as soon as the rain subsides and floodwaters recede. As of the end of October 9, 2025, power supply had been restored for 268,000 customers, with about 60,000 customers still in blackout. The company continues to closely monitor each affected area, waiting for the water to recede to conduct inspections, assess damage, and implement restoration work — aiming to restore power supply as quickly as possible and help residents stabilize their lives after the disaster.

On afternoon of October 10, headquarters of Thai Nguyen Power Company (PC Thai Nguyen) remains in disarray after floodwaters receded.

In addition to damage to the power grid, heavy rainfall and rising water levels flooded the first floor of the company’s headquarters as well as many local management teams’ offices, affecting numerous pieces of equipment and work vehicles. Furthermore, all 536 families of the company’s employees were impacted by the flooding, with most of their property damaged or destroyed. Despite these hardships, to urgently restore power for local residents, the company’s staff have set aside personal matters to join recovery efforts and repair the power grid across the affected areas.
