EVN Vice President Ngo Son Hai meets with Israeli Commercial Counsellor in Vietnam

On the morning of February 6 in Hanoi, Mr. Ngo Son Hai – Vice President of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) – received and held a working session with Mr. Chen Peretz – Commercial Counsellor of the Israel Economic and Trade Office in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Mr. Chen Peretz provided an overview of the capabilities of Israeli enterprises in supplying technological solutions for the power sector. He noted that Israel is keen to promote cooperation based on practical needs while ensuring feasibility in implementation. In this context, Mr. Chen Peretz highlighted several potential areas of cooperation, including digitalization solutions for power system management and operation; solutions to ensure safety and security for information technology infrastructure; and solutions to improve energy efficiency and optimize load management, thereby contributing to electricity savings and reduced operational costs.

Representatives of the Israel Economic and Trade Office in Vietnam also proposed training programs aimed at enhancing awareness and capacity for EVN’s staff and engineers, enabling them to gradually master technologies and strengthen autonomy in the deployment and operation of internal cybersecurity solutions.

Commercial Counsellor Chen Peretz expressed his desire to strengthen connectivity between EVN and the Israeli business community, affirming his readiness to act as a bridge to support partner matchmaking and promote exchanges and cooperation in applying technological solutions suited to Vietnam’s practical conditions.

Speaking at the meeting, EVN Vice President Ngo Son Hai welcomed and highly appreciated the proposals from the Israeli side.

EVN’s leadership noted that the Group is aiming to become a fully digital and smart enterprise by 2030, while accelerating the restructuring of its information technology infrastructure and expanding the application of technologies such as cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence (AI) across various aspects of management and operations. In the context of increasingly digitalized governance, management, and power system operations, EVN leadership emphasized that cybersecurity and information security are critical tasks and top priorities for the Group.

Both sides agreed to continue coordination, promote information sharing, and implement appropriate connectivity activities in the coming period.
