EVN Vice President Vo Quang Lam meets with KEPCO KDN Vietnam

On the afternoon of February 19 in Hanoi, Mr. Vo Quang Lam, Vice President of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), met with Mr. Han Sang Seol, Chief Representative of KEPCO KDN Vietnam, to discuss potential cooperation in the fields of information technology applications, renewable energy, and digital transformation.
Representatives from EVN's Telecommunications and Information Technology Department, as well as the Electricity and Information Technology Telecommunications Company (EVNICT), also attended the meeting.
The discussions focused on proposals for collaboration between EVN and KEPCO KDN in areas such as information technology, automation, cybersecurity, and solutions for managing renewable energy and nuclear power plants.

EVN and KEPCO KDN Vietnam strengthen cooperation in digital transformation and renewable energy
Mr. Han Sang Seol expressed high regard for Vietnam’s renewable energy development potential, particularly the trend of digitalization in EVN’s power system management and operations. He stated, "KEPCO KDN is eager to actively participate in Vietnam’s digital transformation and clean energy development by providing advanced and efficient technological solutions."
On behalf of EVN, Mr. Vo Quang Lam welcomed KEPCO KDN’s interest and recognized the technological capabilities of the South Korean partner. He emphasized, "EVN is always open to working with experienced and highly specialized partners in digital transformation and renewable energy. We encourage KEPCO KDN to further study Vietnam’s market needs and potential, and organize workshops, forums, and knowledge-sharing sessions to introduce new technologies to EVN units and other enterprises."
Both sides agreed to continue discussions to identify sustainable and effective cooperation models. KEPCO KDN’s deeper involvement in information technology and renewable energy projects is expected to benefit not only EVN but also contribute to the modernization and sustainable development of Vietnam’s power sector. Furthermore, EVN and KEPCO KDN will explore the possibility of collaborating on smart grid automation solutions to optimize the operation of the national power system.
This meeting not only opened up numerous collaboration opportunities between the two corporations but also reaffirmed EVN’s commitment to adopting cutting-edge technologies to enhance operational efficiency and advance Vietnam’s power industry toward digital transformation and green energy development.
