EVNSPC and Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee signed a cooperation agreement to complete key 110kV power grid projects in Ben Tre province

According to EVNSPC’s General Director Nguyen Phuoc Duc, in the period of 2020-2025, EVNSPC invested more than VND 2,261 billion in power grid projects in Ben Tre, of which VND 1,356.8 billion is for medium and low voltage grids and VND 904.4 billion for 110kV grid. In 2024 alone, EVNSPC invested VND 478 billion. It is expected that in 2025, the investment value will increase to VND 1,024 billion, putting Ben Tre in the group of provinces receiving the largest investment capital in the Southern region.

Also in 2024, in Ben Tre province, Thanh Tan 110kV Substation invested and built by EVNSPC was put into operation (April 2024). Currently, EVNSPC is accelerating the construction of the 110kV Giao Long - Phu Thuan - Binh Dai transmission line project; the 110kV Ba Tri - Binh Thanh transmission line, is expected to be completed before April 30, 2025. These projects will improve grid connectivity, ensure a stable power supply, and meet the development requirements of Ben Tre province.

Delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the 110kV Giao Long - Phu Thuan transmission line project

According to the Vice Chairman of the Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee, the early completion of the projects will ensure a stable power supply for industrial parks such as Giao Long, Phu Thuan, and other key areas. In particular, the 110kV Giao Long - Phu Thuan transmission line project in operation will facilitate the energization of Phu Thuan 110kV Substation, which will supply power to the entire Phu Thuan industrial park to be in operation in 2025 and neighboring areas of Chau Thanh and Binh Dai districts.

The Vice Chairman of Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee also pledged to accompany the power sector to remove difficulties, speed up progress, and ensure construction quality, towards the goal of sustainable and comprehensive development.

At the ceremony, EVNSPC and Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee signed a simulation agreement to complete 110kV power grid projects in Ben Tre province; and organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the 110kV Giao Long - Phu Thuan transmission line. This is one of the practical activities to welcome the 12th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030; celebrate the 50th anniversary of EVNSPC's establishment and the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Power Sector’s Traditional Day; realize the commitment between EVNSPC and Ben Tre provincial leaders on completing the 110kV power grid, meeting the electricity demand for production and investment attraction in the province.
