Recently, the Kong Chro Electricity Management Team under Gia Lai Power Company successfully completed and energized the project “Completion of medium- and low-voltage power grid in Kong Chro, 2025,” bringing national grid electricity to many remote villages in Kong Chro Commune.
The power lines and transformer stations that supply electricity to more than 45 households of Dao and Tay ethnic minorities in Rong Tina and Tpon villages (Kong Chro Commune) were completed and commissioned. Previously, the two villages already had access to electricity; however, as households were later separated and new homes were built farther from the main power line, many families had to draw electricity on their own, which was both unsafe and unreliable.

The “Completion of medium- and low-voltage power grid in Kong Chro, 2025” project involved the construction of 2.91km of new medium-voltage lines and the renovation of 0.55km of existing ones; the construction of 5.27km of new low-voltage lines and the renovation of 2.36km of existing ones; the installation of eight new transformer stations with a total capacity of 870kVA; and the upgrade and capacity expansion of 14 transformer stations with a total capacity of 1,510kVA. The total investment for the project surpassed VND 8 billion.
The project was completed on schedule in early October, fulfilling the long-standing aspirations of local residents.
