Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant reaches 70 billion kWh output milestone

At 22:00 on March 01, 2025, Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant - Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company reached the milestone of 70 billion kWh generation output supplied to the national power system after more than 10 years of commercial operation.
This achievement has affirmed the important role of the Plant in the power system as well as the competency and efficiency of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company (under Power Generation Corporation 3) in management and operation.

In the recent period, the Plant has met the load demand well, especially during the peak dry season, holidays and Tet festival every year, and satisfactorily completed the assigned electricity output plan. The Plant has been and is implementing many solutions to ensure the electricity generation in a safe, constant and economical manner; proactively preparing sufficient fuel for power generation; reducing heat loss, reducing auxiliary power consumption, improving the efficiency of the generators and ensuring good environmental protection. Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant consists of 2 generators, with a total capacity of 1,244MW, located in Vinh Tan Power Center, Vinh Tan Commune, Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province.
