60 solar power plants had been energized and put into operation in the South of Vietnam

According to the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC), as of the end of November 2020, in the South, 60 solar power plants have been put into operation with a total installed capacity of 3,133.35 MWp.

Particularly in November 2020, four new solar power plants were put into operation, including: Phan Lam 2 (Binh Thuan province), Gia Hoet 1 Lake and Ho Tam Bo (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province), and Hau Giang (Hau Giang province), with a total capacity of 154 MWp.

The electricity output generated from these solar power plants in November 2020 was 318.82 million kWh, accounting for 4.74% of the total electricity output received from the power system. Aggregating in the first 11 months of 2020, the total electricity output generated to the power grid by these plants reached 3.198 billion kWh, accounting for 4.49% of the total electricity output received from the power system.
