"Vietnam is strongly developing renewable energy, especially solar energy. Therefore, Energy Absolute Public is looking forward to cooperate with EVN in this area," said Mr. Somphone Ahunai.
In Thailand, Energy Absolute Public is one of the leading renewable energy enterprises. This company has been implementing many renewable energy storage projects in Asian countries.
At the meeting, Mr. Duong Quang Thanh said, solar and wind energy is currently being deployed by investors with a total installed capacity of about 2,000MW. According to the Plan, there will be about 6,000MW and 27,000MW put into operation by 2020 and 2030 respectively.
This is a new field so EVN is actively studying and learning experiences from countries around the world. At the same time, the Group is researching solar energy storage equipment, which will be piloted at off-grid islands.
EVN leaders (leadership) hope that the two parties could cooperate to develop energy storage technology in the future.
