EVN willing  to cooperate  and support Cambodia's power sector

It is the affirmation made by General Director of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) Tran Dinh Nhan during the meeting and working session with Mr. Keo Rottanak - Minister, Chairman of Cambodian Government Cabinet, General Director of the Electricity of Cambodia (EDC), April 12, 2019, in Hanoi.

Over the past years, EVN and EDC have been exchanging energy via a number of connecting points over the border areas. EVN and its member units have actively supported EDC in training to improve the human resources (HR) quality and implement technical solutions to ensure stable operation of the power system in grid connection, which makes a significant contribution to helping EDC perform the task of supplying power to Cambodian people.

Minister, Chairman of Cambodian Government Cabinet, General Director of EDC thanked for the effective support by EVN, expressed his pleasure that the two parties will further effective cooperation in energy exchange in the coming time. At the same time, he invited EVN to participate in developing some power projects (including solar power) in Cambodia.

General Director of EVN Tran Dinh Nhan affirmed that EVN is always willing to cooperate with and support EDC in the sector, with the goal of sustainable development.
At the meeting, the two parties spent time discussing technical solutions to enhance the stability and reliability in the power exchange process, as well as sharing the development strategies of the two parties in association with the future cooperation opportunities.
