AT2 transformer at Muong La 220kV substation was successfully energized
The project of Muong La 220kV substation (Muong La district, Son La province) is invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), on behalf of the project manager by CPMB and received, managed and operated by Power Transmission Company 1.
The project scale of installing two 220kV - 125MVA transformers. The 220kV branch consists of 3 locations, connecting the 220kV line from the Son La 500kV substation to the Son La 220kV substation.
Previously, on 26 January 2021, the AT1 transformer was successfully energized.
Once completed, the project will meet the power supply-demand for loads in Son La province, collect the capacity of small hydropower plants in Son La province and surrounding areas to transfer to the national power system. In addition, the project helps to reduce the load on the Son La 220kV substation, strengthen the system connection, and improve the power safety, reliability and quality of the regional power grid.
