Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI) has coordinated with the consulting unit - Vietnam Business Coalition for Women's Empowerment (VBCWE) to conduct a survey to evaluate the EDGE Global Gender Equality Certificate from 4 October 2021 to 22 October 2021 with the participation of a total of 6,735 employees (accounting for 91% of the total number of employees of the Corporation).
Speaking at the Certificate granting Ceremony, Mr. Vo Quang Lam - Deputy General Director of EVN said that EVNHANOI is the fourth unit of the group to receive this certificate.

The gender equality work of EVN in general and EVNHANOI in particular has achieved many encouraging results in recent years. One of such results is that the legitimate rights and interests of female workers are increasingly guaranteed, and they are assigned jobs suitable to their training levels, gender and health factors; no redundant labor; professional qualifications of female workers are increasingly being trained; the quality of female workers has been improved markedly; the material and spiritual life as well as health are increasingly improved, making a positive contribution to the production and business activities of Vietnam Electricity in general.
Some of EVNHANOI's goals after receiving this certificate are: to increase the percentage of female managers from 18.1% in 2021 to 21.6% in 2025, to increase the percentage of women who are planned to be managers from 24% in 2021 to 36% in 2025.
EDGE (Economic Dividends for Gender Equality) is a global certificate with the world's leading assessment methods and standards for gender equality in business, granted by the prestigious EDGE Certified Foundation (Switzerland).
This certificate came into being from the World Economic Forum2011. EDGE helps determine the ranking of an organization/business on a scale of gender equality in human resources, wages, and policy effectiveness, and so on.
The EDGE certificate is a rating system with 3 levels and is valid for 2 years.
