Energizing the 500kV 3-circuit line project, Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa section

At 11:10 a.m. on August 19, 2024, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), the Central Power Project Management Board (CPMB) coordinated with relevant units to energize the 500kV circuit-3 line project, Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa section, to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2, in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister.

As one of the sections under the 500kV circuit-3 line project, from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen), the  Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa 500kV line project is 92km long, passing through Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces, including 200 post foundation locations, with 99 corridor anchorage intervals.

The project was implemented on January 18, 2024, and was approved by the Investor-level Acceptance Council to be energized on the morning of August 19, 2024.

The project helps reduce and avoid overloading of existing 500kV lines, ensuring the N-1 criteria. The line also helps improve transmission capacity on the North-Central direction, combined with the 500kV sections of Quang Trach - Quynh Luu, Thanh Hoa - Nam Dinh I, Nam Dinh I - Pho Noi lines, contributing to supplementing capacity from power sources in the North Central region to the load center in the North.

The completion and energization of the Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa 500kV transmission line project, meeting the Prime Minister's direction, is a great motivation for the entire construction site of the 500kV circuit-3 transmission line project, to complete acceptance and inauguration in the coming days following the Prime Minister's direction.
