This activity between EVN and PLN is within the framework of the expert exchange program initiated by EVN during the annual meeting of HAPUA Working Group 5 in 2022 with the power utilities of ASEAN countries.
The main purpose of the program is to create favorable conditions for experts from power utilities in ASEAN to discuss various themes and areas of mutual interest.

EVN’s Vice President Vo Quang Lam said that at present, renewable energy development is the concern of most countries in the world, especially in the context of the inevitable energy transition trend. Mr. Vo Quang Lam expressed his hope that, through this expert exchange program, EVN and PLN will have the opportunity to discuss many other areas of mutual interest such as risk management, internal audit, corporate governance, renewable energy development policy, etc.
Ms. Putu Purwaningsih - PLN's legal expert on energy transition, and head of the delegation, thanked EVN for enabling Indonesian experts to study and learn from EVN's experiences in renewable energy policy. The Indonesian government has set a target of becoming carbon neutral by 2060. Currently, Indonesia is in the process of developing renewable energy. Ms. Putu Purwaningsih hoped that the exchange program of technical experts and personnel with EVN would help PLN gain valuable experience so that PLN could be best prepared for the development of renewable energy in the near future.
It is known that the expert exchange program between EVN and PLN would take place from August 14 to August 25 at the headquarters of Vietnam Electricity and other units throughout EVN.
